Nordic Cross Country Skiing in New Zealand:
Wairau Snow Farm, situated along the Cardrona Valley Road, 35km from Wanaka and 55km from Queenstown, is one of the best cross country skiing fields in the Southern Hemisphere. Snow Farm is the only Nordic skiing area in New Zealand and boasts over 50km of groomed trails and caters for all. No matter what your age or ability, there are many trails for you to enjoy. The season starts as soon as the snow arrives and continues through until late October. Snow Farm offers both day and night skiing. Lessons with highly experienced and qualified instructors are available to book as are many programmes designed to suit you. Snow Farm plays host to many overseas Cross Country Ski Teams as well as New Zealanders looking to get away from it all.
Situated 1500m high on the Pisa Range, you can enjoy the breathtaking views whatever you are doing. Snow Farm is open for guests and visitors all year round. There are activities to participate in even without the snow!
